Stay Safe and Have More Fun!

Please behave responsibly

Full Monty’s Entertainment is an environment for all different age groups. Parents and carers must take responsibility for persons under their supervision to ensure an enjoyable experience for everyone.

Listen to our staff

You must follow all verbal instructions or warnings given by our friendly team, as well as any safety information displayed in our venues. If you require any assistance, please speak to any of the Full Monty’s Entertainment team.

General Safety

At Full Monty’s Entertainment, we strive to ensure your safety, but there are inherent risks when using our venues. To reduce the risk of injury to yourself and others while enjoying our facilities, please follow these simple rules:

Warning: There are inherent risks in the participation in Tenpin Bowling, Golf Simulators, and the use of the Amusement Games. You should consider this participation an exercise in good judgement and act in a responsible manner while using this venue.

Responsibility

Adults/carers are responsible for persons under their supervision.

Listen to staff direction

You must obey all reasonable verbal or written instructions/warnings given by Full Monty’s Entertainment staff.

Bowling safety

Do not bowl more than one ball down the lane at any time.

Lane Approaches

This is the area where you take your walk-up to the lane. No food or drinks are allowed on the approach. Slippery, wet, or sticky surfaces can cause falls and serious injury. If you notice any issues with the approach, stop bowling immediately and ask a member of the Full Monty’s Entertainment team for assistance.

Ball and Shoes

Wear bowling shoes (with socks) while bowling. Have the correct fit for the bowling ball and shoes. See a staff member for help selecting or changing a ball or shoes.

Foul Line

All bowling lanes are treated with oil and can be very slippery. Warning signs at the start of each lane (the black foul line) indicate where the oil begins. Crossing the foul line and stepping on the oily surface may cause slips, falls, and serious injury. Please do not cross the foul line under any circumstances. If you need assistance, our friendly Full Monty’s Entertainment team is here to help.

Trip Hazards

Watch for step-ups to and from the approach and other areas of the venue and keep all coats, bags and personal belongings out of the walking paths to avoid tripping. Tell a staff member about any tripping hazard right away.

Equipment

Mechanical equipment is dangerous and can cause injuries. If a ball or pin is stuck ask a staff member for assistance immediately. Any lane faults must be reported to reception. While a fault is being attended to, no balls are to be sent down the lane.

Ball Return

The ball return has moving parts. Warning signs are present at each ball return to indicate the danger of placing hands inside. Keep your hands clear of the ball return and tray and wait for your ball to come to a complete stop before collecting it — we don’t want squashed fingers! Please supervise children closely around the ball return areas.

Golf simulator safety

Swing Safely

Golf simulators involve swinging clubs with force. Always ensure there is enough space around you and that no one is standing within your swing area. Avoid swinging outside of the designated simulator bay.

Supervise Children

Children should be supervised at all times while using the simulator. Clubs and equipment are not toys and can cause serious injury if misused.

Follow Staff Instructions

Always follow the instructions provided by our Full Monty’s Entertainment team. They are trained to help you use the simulators safely and to ensure everyone has a fun experience.

Proper Footwear Required

Wear suitable, closed-toe shoes while using the simulator. Bare feet, sandals, or slippery footwear can increase the risk of falls or injury.

Equipment Use

Use only the equipment provided for the simulator. Do not attempt to modify or handle the machines in any way, as moving parts may cause injury.

Report Issues Immediately

If you notice any equipment malfunction or unsafe condition, stop using the simulator immediately and alert a Full Monty’s Entertainment team member.

Health Considerations

Individuals with existing injuries, mobility limitations, or conditions that could be aggravated by swinging a golf club should consult a staff member before use.

Other attractions

Our Full Monty’s Entertainment venues also feature a variety of fun attractions, including karaoke and amusement machines, designed to keep guests of all ages entertained. When enjoying these facilities, please follow all instructions from our team and observe any posted safety signs or guidelines.

If you have any questions or concerns, our friendly Full Monty’s Entertainment team is always here to help.

Full Monty’s Entertainment may, at its sole discretion, delay, suspend or end Tenpin Bowling, Golf Simulators, and the use of the Amusement Games or suspend or cancel a customer’s use of the venue in whole or in part and at any time for any reason without penalty or refund.

Full Monty’s Entertainment is not liable for delays, postponements or other circumstances related to or caused by circumstances beyond its control including but not limited to the unavailability of lanes, loss of electricity, inclement weather, scheduling, fire, cyclone or flood.

Patrons with an Epileptic condition need to understand that there are multiple flashing lights in the venue that may affect their likelihood of having a seizure.

For your safety and comfort there are height, weight and age restrictions on some amusement machines. Please refer to the displayed signage for specific details.

Terms & Conditions

Venue/Business: Full Monty’s Entertainment (“Full Monty’s”, “we”, “us”, “our”)
Guest/Customer: “you”, “your”

These Terms apply to entry and participation at our venue (bowling, restaurant, bar, arcade, golf simulators) and to all bookings (including kids’ parties and corporate functions).

General entry, behaviour, and venue rules

You must comply with all reasonable staff directions and all posted rules/signage.

We may refuse entry, refuse service, or require a person to leave where reasonably necessary for safety, security, capacity, responsible service of alcohol, or inappropriate/unsafe behaviour.

You are responsible for the behaviour of anyone in your group (including children).

Play at your own risk and safety-first conduct

Playing at your own risk: Participation in venue activities (including bowling, arcade games, and golf simulators) involves inherent risks, including personal injury and property damage. You participate at your own risk, to the extent permitted by law.

Act safely and consider others: You must always act with care, safety, and concern for other guests and staff.

Unsafe behaviour: Reckless play, ignoring instructions, harassment, intimidation, or equipment misuse may result in removal from an activity, refusal of service, removal from the venue, and/or liability for damage caused.

Children and supervision

Children must be supervised by a responsible adult at all times.

Some areas/activities may have additional age rules (including the golf simulator rules in section 12).

Bookings (parties, groups, corporate functions)

A booking is confirmed once we provide written confirmation (email/text is fine).

No deposit is required for standard bookings, unless we agree otherwise in writing for special events (e.g., venue buy-outs, bespoke catering, ticketed events).

You are responsible for providing accurate booking details (date/time, numbers, package selections, any dietary requirements) by the deadlines we specify.

Prices and payment

Prices are in NZD and include GST unless stated otherwise.

Unless otherwise agreed, payment is due at the venue on the day.

For some corporate/function bookings (e.g., private areas, set menus, minimum spends, or custom orders), we may require:

    • a card authorisation, and/or
    • prepayment, and/or
    • invoice terms,
as stated in your booking confirmation.
Arrival times, session timing, and no-shows

Please arrive 5–10 minutes early for check-in (shoes, lane/bay allocation, food timing).

If your group arrives late, your booking may still end at the scheduled finish time.

If you do not arrive within 15 minutes of the booking time and have not contacted us, we may treat the booking as a no-show and release lanes/tables/bays to other guests (particularly during peak times).

Changes, cancellations, refunds, and rescheduling

Because you don’t pay deposits for standard bookings, fees typically apply only where we’ve incurred costs, reserved exclusive areas, rostered staff specifically, or you’ve prepaid.

If you have NOT prepaid:

  • You may cancel or reduce numbers without charge up to 24 hours before your booking time (unless your confirmation states different terms for a specific package/event).
  • Late cancellations or no-shows may incur a reasonable fee if we reserved space/staffing specifically for your booking.

If you HAVE prepaid (part or full):

  • Cancel more than 72 hours before: we’ll refund prepaid amounts minus any non-recoverable costs (e.g., special orders already placed).
  • Cancel 72 to 24 hours before: we may retain up to 50% of prepaid amounts as a cancellation fee (or offer credit at our discretion).
  • Cancel within 24 hours or no-show: prepaid amounts may be non-refundable, except where required by law.
Rescheduling
  • With at least 24–48 hours’ notice, we’ll try to reschedule once (subject to availability). If rescheduling isn’t possible, the cancellation rules above apply.
Refund method

Approved refunds go back to the original payment method where possible and may take 3–10 business days depending on your bank/provider.

Food, beverage, and allergies

Menu items are subject to availability and may change.

Tell us about allergies/dietary requirements before ordering.

While we take care, we cannot guarantee any food/drink is free from traces of allergens due to shared preparation and handling.

Alcohol and host responsibility

We operate under New Zealand licensing laws and host responsibility requirements. We may request valid photo ID at any time.

Alcohol will only be served to guests who are of legal drinking age. This applies regardless of parental or guardian supervision or permission.

We may refuse service to anyone who is intoxicated, acting unsafely, or where required by law, and we may require patrons to leave the venue for intoxication, aggression, harassment, or unsafe behaviour.

Arcade and Full Monty’s Arcade Card Terms

Arcade conduct and machine use

Do not tamper with machines, readers, or prize equipment.

We may suspend play or remove a guest for misuse, suspected fraud, or unsafe behaviour.

Full Monty’s Arcade Card

The Full Monty’s Arcade Card (“Arcade Card”) may store:

    • paid game credits, and/or
    • promotional/bonus credits, and/or
    • tickets/points for prize redemption (if offered).

Not cash: The Arcade Card and balances are not redeemable for cash and cannot be exchanged for cash.

No resale: The Arcade Card (and/or its balances) must not be resold.

Where usable: Credits/tickets are redeemable only on eligible games/offerings in-venue (as indicated on machines/readers).

Promotions: Bonus credits/promotions may have additional conditions (e.g., limited period, eligible games, minimum loads).

Lost/stolen cards: Treat the Arcade Card like cash. If you offer card registration, we may be able to assist with balance recovery/replacement after verification; otherwise balances may not be recoverable.

Errors/faults: If a machine faults, notify staff promptly. Where appropriate, we may provide a reasonable remedy (e.g., replay/credit adjustment).

Expiry: Paid credits do not expire. Bonus credits/tickets may expire as stated in the promotion.

Golf Simulator Terms
Minimum age rule

You must be at least 14 years of age to use the golf simulators.

Exception: Guests under 14 may use the golf simulators only if accompanied and directly supervised by a responsible adult in the bay at all times.

Golf simulator safety rules (mandatory)

One person in the hitting area: Only one person may be in the hitting/swing area at a time; everyone else must stay behind the safety line and outside the swing zone.

No swinging outside the bay: Do not swing clubs outside the designated hitting area.

Check surroundings before every swing: Be aware of backswing and follow-through; ensure no person or object is within range.

Direct shots toward the screen: All shots must be played toward the hitting screen/target as designed.

Food and drink placement: Keep food and drinks only in approved areas as directed by staff to prevent slips and equipment damage.

Golf simulator responsibility and damage

You are responsible for damage caused by you or your group to simulator equipment or the bay (excluding fair wear and tear).

We may stop your session (without refund, where permitted by law) if safety rules are ignored or equipment is misused.

Golf simulator assumption of risk

Simulator golf can be physically demanding and involves risks (e.g., being struck by a club/ball, slips/trips, muscle strain). You agree to follow all safety directions and participate at your own risk, to the extent permitted by law.

Legal and administrative

Liability and consumer rights (NZ)

Nothing in these Terms limits rights you may have under the Consumer Guarantees Act 1993 or other protections that cannot be excluded.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss (e.g., loss of profit).

Where we are liable and the law allows, our total liability is limited to the amount you paid for the relevant service giving rise to the claim.

Privacy

We collect and use personal information to manage bookings and provide services. See our privacy policy: [link].

Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time by publishing an updated version on our website and/or making it available at the venue.

Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of New Zealand.

Privacy Policy

Full Monty’s Entertainment (“Full Monty’s”, “we”, “us”, “our”) is a public venue offering bowling, arcade games, food and beverage service (including alcohol), events/functions, and related entertainment services.

We are committed to respecting your privacy and protecting your personal information. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, store, and help you access your personal information.

This policy is intended to align with New Zealand privacy expectations (including the Privacy Act 2020 and Information Privacy Principles), and is broadly consistent with how comparable entertainment venue operators describe their privacy practices.

Scope

This Privacy Policy applies to personal information we collect in any way, including:

  • when you visit our venue (including CCTV and Wi-Fi where available),
  • when you make a booking or purchase,
  • when you contact us (online, by phone, or in person),
  • when you interact with our website, social media pages, or online promotions.

(Comparable policies apply regardless of how information is collected, including in-venue and via websites/social platforms.)

Consent

By providing information to us, using our website, or engaging with our services, you consent to our handling of your personal information as described in this Privacy Policy.

If you do not provide certain information we reasonably need, we may not be able to process a booking, complete a purchase, respond to an enquiry, or provide certain services (e.g., functions, memberships, or promotions).

What personal information we collect

The types of personal information we collect depend on how you interact with us, but may include:

Customer and booking information
  • Name, email address, phone number
  • Booking details (date/time, group size, lane allocation, event notes)
  • Special requests (e.g., accessibility needs, dietary preferences)
Payments and transactions
  • Payment status and transaction details (date/time, items purchased, amount)
  • Limited payment card details where required for processing (generally handled by our payment providers)
  • Refund and chargeback information

(Comparable venue policies note collection of payment-related details and use of secure systems for processing.)

Age verification and responsible service

If we need to verify eligibility to purchase alcohol or enter age-restricted areas, we may check and (where necessary) record limited details from acceptable ID (for example, “ID checked” and the date, or other minimal details needed to comply with the law).

Promotions, loyalty, and marketing
  • Preferences and interests (e.g., birthday packages, league nights, offers)
  • Competition entries, survey responses, feedback

(Comparable policies cover promotions/surveys and direct marketing with opt-out.)

Venue security and safety (CCTV)

Our venue may use surveillance cameras. Images may be used for safety, incident management, theft prevention, and may be provided to law enforcement where appropriate or required.

Website and device information

When you use our website, we may collect:

  • device and browser information,
  • IP address,

  • provide services you request (bowling, arcade, food/beverage, events),
  • manage bookings and functions,
  • process purchases, refunds, and chargebacks,
  • respond to questions, complaints, or feedback,
  • administer promotions, competitions, and surveys,
  • improve our services and customer experience (including analytics),
  • run marketing campaigns and send offers (where permitted),

This is consistent with the “purpose requested + customer support + marketing + internal improvement + legal compliance” framework used by similar operators.

When we disclose personal information

We may disclose personal information to:

  • payment and transaction providers (EFTPOS terminals, payment gateways, banks/acquirers),
  • service providers we use to operate the business (booking platforms, IT support, email/SMS providers, marketing agencies, customer feedback tools),
  • professional advisers (e.g., accountants, lawyers),
  • law enforcement or regulators where appropriate or required by law,
  • a purchaser if we sell or restructure the business (subject to lawful requirements).

We take reasonable steps to ensure third parties who handle information for us are required to protect it and only use it for the services they provide to us. We do not sell your personal information.

Direct marketing (and opting out)

If we send you marketing communications, you can opt out at any time by using the unsubscribe option in the message or by contacting us (details below). We will action opt-out requests within a reasonable timeframe.

Payment security (credit/debit cards)

We process card payments in-venue and/or online using payment providers and systems designed to meet industry security standards.

  • Where possible, card details are handled by PCI-compliant payment providers/terminals.
  • We aim not to store full card numbers on our systems. If any payment details are retained (e.g., tokens, receipts), they are kept in a secure manner and only as needed for operational and legal purposes.

Comparable venue policies explicitly reference secure transmission (e.g., SSL) and PCI-compliant EFTPOS terminals as part of their security controls.

How we protect personal information

We take reasonable steps to protect personal information from loss, misuse, interference, unauthorised access, modification, or disclosure. Measures may include:

  • access controls so only authorised staff can access systems,
  • secure networks and modern security practices,
  • encryption/secure transmission for online activity where applicable,
  • secure storage of physical records,
  • security monitoring and regular system maintenance.

Comparable policies list similar administrative, physical, and technical safeguards, and note that no internet transmission can be guaranteed 100% secure.

Keeping information accurate and up to date

We take reasonable steps to ensure personal information we hold is accurate, complete, and up to date. You can ask us to correct or update your details at any time.

Accessing or deleting your information

You may request access to personal information we hold about you, and you may request deletion where appropriate. If we cannot provide access or deletion for a lawful reason, we will explain why and outline options available to you.

Retention

We keep personal information only for as long as necessary for the purposes described in this policy (including legal, accounting, dispute resolution, and security purposes), after which we will take reasonable steps to securely delete or de-identify it.

Changes to this Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time by publishing the latest version on our website. The most current version will apply to information we hold at that time.
